Tuggerawong Public School is a vibrant primary school of 9 classes located in Tuggerawong, a lakeside suburb of Wyong. The school has approximately 215 students. The school site is attractive with colourful murals, spacious grounds, three distinct playground areas, student designed fixed play equipment and an OOSH operated by P&C. Tuggerawong has two under cover COLAs, a yarning circle, a school garden, a basketball court, a large field, a fully renovated, well equipped library and a successsful P&C operated canteen. The school has excellent, state of the art technology, with one to one laptops for students in 3-6 and Ipads for K-2 students.

Tuggerawong Public School has an excellent STEM program where all students engage in hands on lessons, in a dedicated STEM room. The school has also been earmarked to have a preschool established by 2027, further enhancing our school and community.

Tuggerawong Public School has strong connections with our local educational partners, Ngara AECG  and the Wadalba Learning Community of schools. Eighteen percent of our students are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Our Aboriginal students collaborate with neighbouring schools to engage in Didge Group, Dance and Cultural groups.

The community expresses high expectations for their children with the majority of parents indicating a desire for them to complete Year 12 and seek tertiary education. The school has a highly active and supportive Parents and Citizen Association (P&C) and is committed to working with the community through authentic consultative processes.

The school has a proud culture of excellence in a variety of extra-curricular activities, consistently having both a strong representation in PSSA teams, Debating, Public Speaking, the Central Coast Dance Festival, ChoralFest and the Ngara Choir. Through strong learning alliances within the Central Coast Principal Network and Wadalba Schools Learning Community, students are offered a variety of extracurricular and transition activities. These alliances not only provide our students with the opportunity to participate in accelerated learning activities and build connections with students from outside the school, but also encourages a community of educators who are able to share, and subsequently build their knowledge and expertise.
